China sourcing and manufacturing

Industrial Machinery Sourcing in China

Start with the process the machine must perform. Compare equipment against operating requirements, documentation and a realistic installation plan.

A technical brief before a machine shortlist

Production lines, heavy equipment and specialized mechanical systems require a clear application brief. Identify the material, operating environment, required process and interfaces with existing equipment. Drawings, layout constraints and utility requirements help a manufacturer propose a relevant configuration rather than a catalogue substitute.

Compare manufacturers and configuration

A model name alone does not establish what is included. Compare components, controls, accessories, documentation, service provisions and quoted exclusions. Ask which manufacturing steps are in-house and which are subcontracted. Supplier identity checks and a factory audit can address different questions before an order is approved.

Agree acceptance and inspection

Define how the equipment will be checked and what evidence will be delivered. Depending on the project, this may involve document review, component identification, dimensional checks or an agreed witnessed operating test. Test conditions and acceptance criteria must be written in the purchasing specification; an inspection is not a substitute for certification or a full engineering assessment.

Plan delivery and installation dependencies

Dimensions, weight, lifting points, packaging and shipment configuration influence freight planning. Establish who handles installation, commissioning, spare parts and destination compliance before ordering. We coordinate agreed manufacturer, inspection and logistics tasks. Site engineering and regulatory approval need appropriately qualified parties.

What to send us

  • Application, process and operating environment
  • Drawings, layout and utility requirements
  • Required configuration and acceptance criteria
  • Destination, installation responsibilities and schedule

What you receive

  • Manufacturer and configuration comparison
  • Open technical questions and document requests
  • Agreed inspection and delivery coordination plan

How we manage the work

  1. Define the application

Clarify the process and interfaces the equipment must support.

  2. Compare technical offers

Review configurations and unresolved manufacturer claims.

  3. Coordinate acceptance

Agree documentation, inspection and logistics checkpoints.

Questions before you start

Can you source a complete production line?

We can assess the sourcing and coordination scope from your process brief. Integration, site design and commissioning responsibilities must be agreed with qualified suppliers and engineers.

Does a factory inspection certify the machinery?

No. Inspection checks the agreed scope. Required certification, testing and destination approvals must be specified separately.

Can you arrange shipment of heavy equipment?

We can coordinate logistics requirements with suitable providers once dimensions, weight, packaging and destination are confirmed.
